Onsite Technical Support Engineer – Leading Microsoft Gold Partner

About the business:

Our client are a Microsoft Gold Partner who provide Enterprise services & solutions across the EUC stack, infrastructure and cloud. As a high growth managed service provider and they have fostered an enviable relationship with Microsoft.

With this growth set to continue, they are looking to further expand their Onsite support team at one of their most prestigious clients in Central London.

The Role:

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing our customers with high level tier 1 support in conjunction with other specialist teams within Operations. You will ensure that service level agreements are met whilst delivering reliable resolution of customer technical issues when raised via support lines, Live-chat, email or self-service portals.  

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, career driven individual with a strong 1st/2nd line background, looking to expand their current skill-set across EUC stack and server/AD administration who desires to progress into 3rd line technical/infrastructure support and project consulting. 

Technical skills

Essential Knowledge and Skills Required:

The perfect candidate will support end-users with providing desk-side support across a variety of different technologies including:-

  • Windows 7-10
  • Office 365 (basic admin, control panel admin)
  • Desktop/device/back-up support
  • Server Active Directory admin (AD accounts, DNS, basic troubleshooting)
  • Exchange (new users/e-mail change/admin)
  • Group Policy (basic admin/settings

Advantageous (not essential) skills:

Installing, configuring or troubleshooting the following:

  • ·  ServiceNow
  • ·  Google apps for business (G Suite)
  • ·  Video Conferencing (Polycom)
  • ·  Telephony/VoIP systems
  • ·  Managed Switches (HP, Cisco)
  • ·  Routers, Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, HP),
  •  VPN technologies
  •  HP ProLiant Servers and Storage solutions
  •  Veeam, Backup Exec
  • Certification in any of the technologies listed above
